Was my order processed?

If you have submitted an order but aren't sure if it processed correctly, then check your email account for the Co-op Order Confirmation email (don't forget to check the Junk/spam folder). You can also check your PayPal or Credit Card account to see if the transaction was recorded.

How can I pay?

The Co-op accepts the following credit cards: American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Diners Club. We also accept payment by PayPal and Co-op Gift Vouchers.

Why was my PayPal payment rejected?

As the Co-op requires immediate payment, customers will not be able to make purchases with e-cheques via PayPal. For all other issues please contact PayPal directly.

I used PayPal to make a purchase but require a refund.

Although customers can open a request for a refund through the PayPal website we suggest that you contact us directly first here as we can refund to your PayPal account if required. Contacting us directly will greatly reduce the time taken to sort out any issues you may have with your products or our service.


How do I become a Member?

Easy! You can become a Co-op Member right here. Fill in your details and a bit about yourself, select what Membership you want, read and accept the Membership Terms & Conditions, then complete your payment option. You will be immediately eligible for Member discounts and other benefits.

Am I still a Member?

Membership is for life. If you do not remember if you have signed up in the past you can check it right here.

When I joined I was told that I'd get an email but I haven't received anything.

The emails to new Members are sent within a few minutes, so if you haven't received yours please check your spam or junk folder. If the email isn't there we can send you a new one, just contact us here. But first, be sure to add to your contact list so emails from us aren't sent to your junk or spam folders

Why am I not getting the Member Price?

There are several possible reasons that you aren't being quoted a Member Price:
Have you logged in? If not then the Member Price will be displayed but the totals in the shopping basket will be for the full value Does the product you're looking at have a lower Member Price? Are you a Member? Only people who have purchased a Membership are eligible for Member pricing. Creating an account on the website isn't the same as becoming a Member. You can read more here.

Can I transfer my membership to someone else?

No, membership is non transferable.

I no longer want to be a Co-op Member. Can I withdraw my shares?

I'm already a Co-op Member – how can I switch to receive the new Co-op Membership card?

It's easy to switch to the new Co-op Membership card. Simply click here to login, check your details and complete the application. Otherwise, ask a friendly team member in-store or email us and we can kick start the process for you.

How do I get a replacement Member card?

Please contact our friendly customer service team at to request a replacement Member Card. Make sure you give us your Member number and postal address so we can make sure your card arrives safely. Your replacement Member Card will be mailed to you at the address you provided within 10 working days.

Can I give my Member Card to someone else to use?

No. When you join the Co-op you are actually purchasing shares in the Co-op Limited - a not-for-profit co-operative. In order to continue offering the best possible range, service and pricing, Member benefits are restricted to the individual who joins.

I just joined online, when will I receive my Member Card?

Your Member card will be mailed to you and should arrive within 2 weeks of joining. You can still purchase online and in-store and receive your Member pricing by quoting your Co-op Member number. Your Co-op Member number is displayed in the confirmation email you received when you joined online or in-store.

When do I get my $25 Co-op voucher and $50 STA Travel voucher?

You will receive your vouchers via email within 10 working days of your account opening.

I only received one card in the mail & shouldn't I receive a Co-op Member card and an ME Bank Debit MasterCard?

No & both cards are conveniently combined into one! Show your card at Co-op stores to receive your Member price, plus use it wherever EFTPOS and debit cards are accepted to make purchases.

Can I use my account overseas?

Yes - you can access your account by using your Debit MasterCard which is accepted at more than 30 million locations. Simply press 'Credit' to shop securely overseas using your own money. You can also access cash via international ATMs by pressing the 'Savings' button. Refer to Fees & Charges for information relating to any fees that you may be charged by the ATM operators.

Can I use my account to make purchases online?

Yes - you can access your account with your Debit MasterCard, which allows you to shop securely online - using your own money.

How can I avoid paying ATM Operator Fees?

These four tips can help you avoid paying ATM operator fees:

1. Withdraw cash or check your EveryDay Transaction Account balance at ME Bank, Westpac, St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA ATMs. There are more than 3,000 ATMs to choose from nationally. Alternatively, receive a refund on fees incurred at all other ATMS in Australia within 30 days of the transaction.

2. Take out extra cash when using EFTPOS to make your purchases. These transactions are excluded from the ATM operator fee.

3. Check your account balance using ME Bank's fee free phone and internet banking services.

4. Use ME Bank's internet banking to transfer money and pay your bills.

Why isn't my new Debit MasterCard working?

Before you can use your Debit MasterCard, you'll need to activate it first. Call ME Bank on 13 15 63 to activate.

What do I do if my ME Bank Debit MasterCard is lost or stolen?

If your card is lost or stolen whilst you are in Australia, simply phone ME Bank's Customer Contact Centre on 13 15 63. ME Bank will cancel your existing card and arrange for a replacement to be sent to you.
If you are overseas when your card is lost or stolen, you may contact MasterCard Global Service or any financial institution displaying the MasterCard symbol to cancel your existing card and arrange for a replacement card to be sent to you.

How is a Debit MasterCard card different to an EFTPOS card?

A Debit MasterCard is just like a credit card, but only better because it uses your own funds from your EveryDay Transaction Account. You can use it anywhere MasterCard is accepted - just press 'Credit' when using the 'terminal' and you are protected from unauthorised transactions at more than 30 million locations worldwide. What is MasterCard PayPass&trade Tap & Go&trade?

Debit MasterCard with PayPass&trade is like having the exact change wherever you go. Just 'tap' your card on the PayPass reader and 'go' as soon as you see the green light or hear the beep. There's no signing your name or entering a PIN for purchases of $100 or less

Can I withdraw money using MasterCard PayPass&trade?

No. To withdraw cash when you make a purchase you will need to swipe or insert your card into the EFTPOS terminal, choose 'SAV' (Savings) or 'CRE' (Credit) and enter your PIN. By choosing Credit, you get the added bonus of MasterCard's security features.

How do I receive my 5% back on PayPass™ purchases?

Your 5% cash back will be paid into your ME Bank Everyday Transaction Account within 30 days after the date the transaction is debited to your account.

Why have I received an email about an EveryDay Transaction Account with ME Bank?

There are two possible reasons you have received this email:

1. You have made the fantastic decision to switch from your old Co-op card to the new Co-op Membership card, but have not yet completed your application for the ME Bank Everyday Transaction Account. Remember, once your account is open you will get a $25 Co-op voucher, a $50 STA Travel voucher, refund on ATM fees, and 5% cash back on tap & go™ purchases for the first three months.

2. When you joined the Co-op, you had the option to 'opt out' of starting an application for a ME Bank Everyday Transaction Account. Therefore, you are receiving these emails because you did not opt out. Please contact ME Bank on 13 15 63 if you wish to opt out and become a standard Co-op Member with no ME Bank account.

Why have I not received my order yet?

Most orders of in stock items are dispatched in one business day.

If your order contains an out of stock item, we will source the item from one of our suppliers, and our Customer Care Team will be in touch as soon as possible with an estimated time of arrival.

Most digital goods (e.g. eBooks, gift vouchers, access codes) are instantly accessible upon purchase. If you have not received a confirmation e-mail within 3 hours, please contact our Customer Care Team here for further details.

How much is delivery?

All Co-op customers enjoy FREE standard shipping on orders over $50 within Australia on the entire Co-op range. Delivery on domestic orders under $50 costs $6.95.

Delivery of orders outside Australia is by Australia Post's Regular Air Parcels Service. You will be able to see the exact cost of delivery to your country/address at checkout.

In stock items are normally dispatched in one business day. Most deliveries take 1 - 2 business days. Interstate and international orders may take longer.

Can I order online and collect at a store?

Yes. Orders made using the 'Textbook Search' can be collected from your campus store. Please choose the ‘Pick Up In Store’ delivery option at checkout.

The store handling your order will be in touch as soon as it is available to collect. This will normally be in one business day.


Can I exchange or return an item that was purchased online?

What is your returns policy?

Non-digital goods may be returned for a refund provided they are sent back to the store in which the purchase was made within 10 days of purchase in a saleable condition, accompanied by the tax invoice. Read in full our Returns Policy.


Can I exchange or return an item that was purchased online?

Yes - the easiest and fastest way to exchange an item purchased on any of the Co-op online stores is to return the item with your proof of purchase to your nearest Co-op store. You can visit our Return Policy page for more information.

How will I be refunded?

Credit card or PayPal: Your refund will be credited into the same account your payment came from.

Co-op Gift Card: The refund amount will be reissued as a new voucher code via email.

Part credit card, part voucher (including Gift Cards): The amount you paid by credit card will be credited back into the same account and we will reissue you with a new voucher code. Please note that courtesy and promotional vouchers and coupons are non-refundable.
